Florence, located in central Italy, has been carrying a rich history and culture since the Etruscan era. In 59 BC, the Romans founded this city by the Arno River and named it FLORENTIA. In the following thousand years, Florence experienced numerous regime changes. Until from the 14th century to the 16th century, a European ideological and cultural movement emerged in this city, making Florence the birthplace of the Renaissance and one of the most renowned art centers in Europe.

In the heart of Florence, Italy, the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore stands majestically, and its sculptural art is truly unparalleled. The facade of the cathedral is like a three-dimensional poem. Each sculpture contains profound religious connotations and exquisite artistic techniques. From the statue of the Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus above the central lintel to the statues of saints on the lintels on both sides, each one is so lifelike that it seems to be telling ancient stories. Especially the collection of sculptures of the cathedral in the museum is simply breathtaking. These sculptural works not only showcase the glorious achievements of sculptural art during the Renaissance but also reflect the unique charm of Florence as the capital of art.
This church is located in the city center of Florence, Italy, and is one of the symbols of Florence. Its construction began in 1296 and it took nearly two centuries to complete. It is a masterpiece of Gothic and Renaissance styles. This church is renowned worldwide for its magnificent spire, delicate details, and unique facade.

The main facade of the church is the most eye-catching part of its exterior. It is made of marble, and the exquisitely detailed carvings and decorations on it are truly admirable. In the center of the main facade are three huge porticos. Each portico is adorned with exquisite sculptures and murals depicting biblical stories and legends of the saints. These sculptures and murals are not only astonishing but also among the masterpieces of the art of the Florentine Renaissance.
The creation of these statues took several years and was completed by many outstanding artists in succession. The death of Arnolfo di Cambio, the facade architect and sculptor, caused this project to be put on hold temporarily. Subsequently, Francesco Neri Ubaldi and Simone di Francesco Talenti took over the project, and it was finally completed by Piero di Giovanni.

The sculptural art of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore represents a perfect combination of faith and aesthetics. These sculptures not only adorn the church but also endow it with a soul and vitality. Each sculpture serves as a witness to history, recording the glory and changes of Florence.
