The Radiance of Oriental Artistic Rhymes Shines in Florence
Florence, located in central Italy, has carried a rich history and culture since the Etruscan era. Having witnessed several changes of regime, this city became the birthplace of the Renaissance and the most renowned art center in Europe in the 14th to 16th centuries, when a European ideological and cultural movement emerged here.
Nowadays, Mr.Keyang Wu, a Chinese oil painter, has chosen to hold a solo art exhibition in Florence. He aims to build a bridge for the exchange of art and culture between the East and the West here. With a unique Eastern perspective and delicate brushstrokes, he will radiate a distinctive brilliance in the ancient exhibition halls of Florence.

The Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, Italy, is not only a masterpiece in the history of architecture but also a treasure trove of mural art. When you step into the church, you will be greeted by colorful murals, with every stroke telling a touching story.

Details of the mural

·Heavenly Scene:The upper area of the dome mural depicts Christ, the Virgin Mary, and angels, symbolizing that the human soul strives towards heaven and attains salvation. The scenes here reflect a sacred and peaceful atmosphere, representing justice and beauty. It is the ideal destination that people yearn for and also demonstrates the love and tolerance of God.
·Hellish Scene:The lowest circle is a depiction of eternal torment, showing the scene of humans falling into the terrifying hell. It symbolizes the price of sin and the punishment for evil, presenting a gloomy and painful atmosphere to warn people to stay away from sin.
·"The Last Judgment"created by the great artistic master Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century, has vivid plotlines, bright colors, clear lines, and lifelike figures. It not only shows the artist's unique understanding of religious themes but also brings the color aesthetics of the Renaissance period to the extreme.
The mural design of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore is full of creativity and wisdom. The artists skillfully use color contrast and harmony, perfectly combining religion with the secular world, and ideals with reality, making each mural full of vitality and appeal. Overall, inspired by the Book of Revelation in the Bible and Dante's Divine Comedy, it depicts the scene of God's judgment on the world when the end of the world comes. All human souls have to be judged by God, and according to their deeds in life, they will be determined to ascend to heaven or fall into hell, thus promoting the concept that good and evil will receive their due rewards.

Here, color is not just a visual pleasure, but also a spiritual shock. It leads people into a world full of faith, hope, and love, allowing them to experience the boundless charm of art.

The Story of Genesis in the Bible
·God Creates the World:God created the heavens and the earth and all things in six days. On the first day, He created light and divided day from night. On the second day, He created the firmament and separated the waters above from the waters below. On the third day, He made the dry land appear from the waters and also created plants. On the fourth day, He created the sun, moon, and stars to determine the seasons, days, and years. On the fifth day, He created the fish in the sea and the birds in the air. On the sixth day, He created the livestock, insects, and wild animals on the earth, as well as human beings. God created man in His own image and gave them the authority to rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the livestock on the earth, and the whole earth. On the seventh day, God finished His work of creation and rested.
·Adam and Eve:God planted a garden in Eden in the east and placed the man He had created there, naming him Adam and appointing him to take care of the Garden of Eden. God saw that it was not good for Adam to be alone, so He took one of Adam's ribs and made a woman, named Eve. The two lived happily in the Garden of Eden. God commanded them not to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden. However, under the temptation of the serpent (the fallen angel Satan), Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command and ate the forbidden fruit. As a result, they gained the awareness of good and evil and felt ashamed of their nakedness. When God discovered this, He drove them out of the Garden of Eden. From then on, they had to work on the earth, multiply, and endure various sufferings such as birth, aging, illness, and death.
·Noah's Ark:Later, the wickedness of humanity on the earth became great, and God regretted having made man on the earth. He decided to destroy the world with a flood. But God favored Noah and told him to build an ark out of gopher wood. According to God's instructions, Noah entered the ark with his family and a male and female of every kind of animal. The floodwaters rose for forty days and covered the entire earth. Only the lives in the ark were spared. After the flood receded, Noah, his family, and the living creatures in the ark came out. Noah built an altar to offer sacrifices to God. God blessed Noah and his sons and made a covenant with them, promising never to destroy the world with a flood again and using the rainbow as a sign of the covenant.
