Chinese oil painter Wu Keyang's exhibition ‘Present and Beyond: The Oriental Dimension’, which opens on 1 June 2024, will feature the artist's oil paintings and drawings. Curated by Professor Massimo (Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera), Mr Mattioli, Dr Liu Guopeng and M.A. Liang Zhenru, the exhibition brings together a total of eighteen large-scale paintings and thirty-six drawings, exhibited for the first time in Italy, at the Garibaldi Gallery space in Milan. The gallery is located in the famous Piazza XXV Aprile, the centre of Italian art and fashion, and is particularly distinguished by the preservation of the archaeological site of the Spanish walled city of the 1500s, which is presented inside the gallery.

Wu Keyang is internationally renowned for pioneering the genre of Oriental Spiritual Painting, an artistic expression of cultural exchange between East and West. Combining Eastern philosophical ideas with Western artistic techniques, these works demonstrate the mystery and depth of the universe and the understanding of the origin of life, highlighting the artist's innovation and exploration in the field of contemporary art.

Wu Keyang's artistic research is in tune with his spiritual quest, which is embodied and materialised in the form of paintings. In his paintings, the artist presents the birth of the universe, the origin of life and the current awareness and perception of various life forms. The subtle relationship between everything in the universe and human beings is explored, providing the viewer with a return to ancient and ancestral-like perceptions of existence and the ultimate goal of human life.

The picture book published by Electa's prestigious publishing house contains a collection of Matteo Binci, Nicola Cabiati, George Byron Davos, Zhenru Liang, Guopeng Liu, Paolo Martore, Massimo Mattioli, Massimo Mazzone, Giacomo Pigliapoco theoretical contribution

He then embarked on a journey to explore Europe in order to gain a deeper understanding of Western art and culture. overcoming a serious illness in 2015 became a turning point in his painting career, and the near-death experience gave him a newer, more unique sense of life and presentation of his conception of a five-year tour of Europe since 2023.
