Manuscripts, famous paintings and his extraordinary life.

Leonardo da Vinci was born in the town of Vinci in Tuscany and showed his artistic talent when he was a teenager. Around 1470, he entered the workshop of Verrocchio to study and gradually grew into a painter and sculptor with scientific literacy. He was also a military engineer and architect. Later, he received the sponsorship of the Medici family, became a court painter in 1472, and joined the guild. In 1482, after being hired by the Duchy of Milan, he carried out creative and research activities in the noble court. Since 1513, he drifted around places such as Rome and Florence.

Leonardo da Vinci grew up during the peak of the Renaissance. Since then, he has been regarded as one of the most talented and gifted painters, engineers, architects and inventors in Italy. He was full of energy and constantly improved his paintings, striving to make his works reach the realm of perfection. Since his childhood, he had a deep interest in nature, machines, and other aspects, and kept researching, exploring and disassembling.

在他的许多笔记手稿里有各种不同的草图,它们与现代的坦克、飞机和其他各种机器相似,总共有400件之多。

This painting titled "Salvator Mundi" is approximately 66 centimeters in height and 47 centimeters in width. The oil painting mainly depicts the devout image of Jesus praying for the world. He makes a gesture of blessing with his right hand and holds an object resembling a crystal sphere in his left hand, gazing calmly at the world.

The journey of the discovery of this painting is also quite legendary. Before it was finally determined that this painting was created by Leonardo da Vinci, it had always been regarded as the work of Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio, Leonardo da Vinci's student, and thus ignored by the world.

It was not until 2009 that the owner of "Salvator Mundi" took it to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the United States and invited several experts to restore and authenticate it. After removing layers of oil paint, the secrets hidden beneath this seemingly ordinary work shocked the world – the experts unanimously determined that this painting was the work of Leonardo da Vinci himself.

The Mona Lisa was a portrait painted by Leonardo da Vinci in Florence for Lisa Gherardini, the wife of a wealthy cloth merchant. The figure in the painting is in a loggia, sitting on a chair with her hands resting on the armrests in front of her, revealing three-quarters of her figure. The mountains, winding paths and small bridge in the background create a very serene scene. And Mona Lisa's right hand is even known as "the most beautiful hand in the history of fine arts".Her elusive and mysterious smile is supposed to represent the close relationship between human nature and nature, which is also the central idea of the Renaissance movement. The composition of this portrait has had a profound influence on many artists of later generations, yet none of them have been able to surpass Leonardo da Vinci in so prominently expressing the vitality of the figure.
